Challenge Overview
We’re inviting you to craft a standalone ad campaign concept inspired by a famous Shakespeare quote — but flipped on its head with humour, irony, or an unexpected twist.
The goal?
To show your creative range by turning timeless literature into bold, modern advertising. Surprise us. Make us laugh. Make us say, "Wait, what brand would even do that?"
Creative Task
Choose one famous quote from Shakespeare (any play or sonnet).
Then build an ad around it — a fake product, a quirky service, or a cultural moment.
Your final creative can take one of two forms:
- A mini campaign: 3–5 static image ads (e.g. for social)
- A short 15–30 second TVC ad (GenAI video or storyboarded concept)
Deliverables
✅ Final Assets:
- JPEG/PNG image set or MP4 video file (16:9 and 9:16)
✅ Creative Write-up (Short Paragraphs)
- The quote you chose and why
- Your creative concept and how it reinterprets the quote
- What the ad is selling or saying (can be a real or fictional product)
- AI tools + prompts you used
Creative Notes
- Tone: Quirky, ironic, visual-first
- Style: Bold, stylized, surprising
- Execution: Doesn’t need to feel real — it needs to be memorable
- Bonus points for juxtaposition between the original tone and your execution (e.g. tragic quote turned into a cheeky retail ad)
Idea Starters
- “All the world’s a stage” → A fashion line for the overly dramatic
- “To be or not to be” → A protein shake ad with existential crisis vibes
- “Though she be but little, she is fierce” → A boxing glove brand for small hands
- “What’s in a name?” → A sarcastic perfume launch for a scent called "Meh.”
- “Lord, what fools these mortals be!” → An AI-powered dating app gone rogue
