We are excited to announce that Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) Google’s latest state-of-the-art image model is live on Pencil.
(Users will need to enable from AI governance settings now, but we will enable for all the workspaces later where Nano Banana Pro is already active.
What’s the big deal? Nano Banana 2 bridges the gap between speed and quality. It brings "Pro" level capabilities, like advanced world knowledge and precision text rendering, at "Flash" speeds.
Key Highlights:
- Real-World Knowledge: Grounded in Google Search, it can generate hyper-accurate subjects, diagrams, and infographics.
- Pro-Level Text: Significant leap in text rendering. It can now handle legible text, fonts, and even in-image translations.
- Vibrant Fidelity: Expect richer textures, sharper details, and better lighting.
Note: As we roll this out, please note that we are not currently supporting 512px resolution aspect ratios due to a known error. As soon that will be fixed from Google’s side these will be released as a fast follow!
