Let’s tell a story about a luxury bag, without too many cuts.

How We Created a Luxury Bag Ad with AI

The Tools We Used

We used a mix of models, each doing what it’s best at:
  • Imagen 4 Ultra for moodboarding the scenes design and tone.
  • Nano Banana and Gemini Pro 2.5 for swapping the product cleanly into every shot.
  • Veo 3.1 for continuous camera motion, the closest thing AI has to a cinematographer.
It’s not about stacking tools, it’s about sequencing them so you stay in control.

Step 1: Design the Bag First

Before you shoot a scene, you need a hero that won’t fall apart later. So we built the bag first. We locked the texture, the stitching, the gold hardware. Once the bag felt right, everything else revolved around it. In creative terms, that’s the difference between control and chaos.

Step 2: Build the World One Frame at a Time

We didn’t jump straight to video. We built it like a moodboard that could move later.
Each frame had a clear prompt for colour, tone, environment, and story. Because if you can’t see the image in your head, the AI definitely won’t either. That’s why we started with image generation instead of text-to-video. It gave us control. Predictability. No surprises at 2 a.m. when a render turns out weird.

Step 3: Replace and Refine

Once the scenes looked right, we used Nano Banana to swap in our own bag.
This is where the details start to matter: The ratio of hand to bag. The distance between the strap and the body. How the light bends around the leather.
We found that prompting Nano with percentages, e.g. “reduce bag by 50%”, often worked better than manually resizing. The goal wasn’t just to add the bag in. It was to make it belong.

Step 4: Let Veo 3.1 Take the Camera

And then came Veo 3.1, which handled the movement like a pro.
Scenes 3 to 5: the corridor, the courtyard, the beach walkway were all stitched together using start and end frames. Think of it like a tracking shot in a film: one continuous glide through changing worlds.
No fades. No wipes. Just light, wind, and motion.
The bag stayed steady. Elegant, grounded, never over-directed.

End Frame:

Prompt: A breezy seaside terrace bathed in warm golden light. A white linen curtain flutters open, revealing a medium-sized rectangular handbag with an oversized padded grid texture, crafted in smooth glossy white taupe leather with a subtle reflective sheen. The body showcases eight large plush square panels in a 2x4 woven layout, creating bold sculptural softness. Its seamless flap closure blends perfectly into the grid, with no visible hardware. A long, wide strap in matching glossy leather drapes flexibly, resting naturally against the top of the bag, attached with rounded gold rings that shimmer as sunlight hits them. The ocean glows softly in the distance, and the breeze stirs both the curtain and the strap with gentle motion. The camera slowly pushes in from a wide shot to a medium close-up, capturing the delicate interplay of light, texture, and movement. The mood is cinematic and serene — calm yet filled with quiet anticipation. Photorealistic, 4K, natural breeze.

End Frame:

Prompt: As the white linen curtain slowly settles from its flutter, the medium-sized rectangular handbag with oversized padded grid texture, crafted in smooth glossy white taupe leather with a subtle reflective sheen, rests quietly on a smooth glossy wooden stool chair. Sunlight glows softly across its plush square panels and rounded gold rings, while a gentle coastal breeze drifts through the terrace. Then, with calm intention, the bag begins to lift — not abruptly, but in a slow, graceful motion, guided by a bare hand and arm with no clothing or sleeves, moving tenderly and with care. The soft shadow of the hand glides across the leather as it lifts, and the strap sways delicately, catching the warm golden light before leaving the frame. The camera performs a slow, continuous zoom-in while the bag is gently lifted, enhancing the sense of closeness and elegance. Every motion unfolds softly and unhurriedly, evoking a cinematic calm and refined coastal serenity. Photorealistic, 4K,

End Frame:

Prompt: A continuous rear tracking shot follows a woman walking with calm confidence, the medium-sized rectangular handbag with oversized padded grid texture, as she walks through a sun-dappled corridor lined with warm stone walls and gentle shadow play. The scene feels alive with quiet motion, the air, the light, the rhythm of her steps. As she approaches a side path on her right, she turns gracefully, and the camera follows her turn seamlessly, panning and tracking in a single fluid motion. The background naturally evolves, the corridor’s shade gives way to the bright hotel courtyard, where sunlight spills across terracotta tiles and palm tree shadows ripple softly on the ground. The transition feels effortless and real, as if the viewer is walking alongside her. The bag continues to sway gently, Photorealistic, 4K, continuous tracking with right-turn follow pan, smooth natural environmental transition, cinematic and elegant.

Prompt: The camera eases to a stop, holding a wide, tranquil view of the terrace overlooking the sea. Gentle waves move below, their soft rhythm blending with the hush of coastal air. The striped towel on the sun lounger subtly stirs in the breeze, a hint of motion against the stillness. As the camera begins a slow, dramatic zoom-in, a bare hand enters gracefully, moving with quiet precision to place a medium-sized rectangular handbag with an oversized padded grid texture, crafted in smooth glossy white taupe leather, onto the towel. The rounded gold rings catch glimmers of daylight as the bag settles into place. The zoom continues just slightly closer, resting in serene focus on the composition — the textures, the light, the sound of the sea — photorealistic in 4K, elegant and complete, a cinematic close to the story.

Are you ready?

What this project revealed is something every creative team is quietly discovering. Our workflows are no longer built around the limitations of tools. They are built around the possibilities of exploration.
We don’t wait for a photoshoot to test a scene. We don’t wait for a video team to understand motion. We don’t wait for a designer to mock up scale or lighting or mood.
We can see it, shape it, and challenge it early. Before it becomes expensive, complicated, or locked in.
This is the real shift. Not that AI speeds things up, but that it pulls the thinking forward. It lets us design the idea before we design the asset. It gives us room to try, adjust, and learn without the fear of wasting time.
And that is why workflows matter more than models. They are the part that keeps evolving. They are the part every creative team can improve. They are the part you can control.
If this workflow helps you experiment with movement, test consistency, or simply see your ideas sooner, then it has already earned its place in your toolbox.
Creative work is changing. Not by replacing the craft, but by letting us practice it earlier, faster, and with a little more courage.
